Job title: Business Development Executive

Location: Bristol

Salary: £25,000 - 30,000 with commission

As a Business Development Executive, your primary goal is to convert leads and boost sales growth, focusing on both inbound and outbound call activity with new employer partners. Working closely with the Marketing Department to maximise sales from employer-focused marketing activity.

You’ll focus on engaging with potential clients over the phone, you'll adeptly cross-sell and promote our products and services to maximize lead conversion. A confident, proactive approach is crucial as you capture and capitalise on incoming enquiries and campaign leads. Through strategic collaboration with both the sales and marketing teams, you'll cultivate interest and secure new business opportunities with prospective employers.

What will you be doing?

  1. Handling and qualifying all inbound sales enquiries through telephone calls, website forms and marketing activity.
  2. Proactively contacting potential new clients using phone and email to gauge and qualify interest.
  3. Proactively identifying and qualifying sales leads to be passed on to the Business Development Manager.
  4. Identifying and capitalising on customers that are ready to progress by initiating the employer onboarding and learner enrolment processes.
  5. Liaising with customers via phone, online (website, social media etc.).

Requirements

What we need from you:

  1. Similar experience within a sales/business development role.
  2. A team player with good planning and organisational skills and the ability to manage own workload.
  3. Ability to probe effectively when establishing a customer’s needs.
  4. Experience in upselling and cross-selling desirable.
  5. Active listener with the ability to objection handle.
  6. Work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Strong organisational skills; manage multiple tasks while maintaining accurate attention to detail.
  8. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
