An established industry player seeks a dynamic individual to lead co-investment initiatives within its Private Markets team. This role involves sourcing, conducting due diligence, and executing direct co-investment opportunities primarily in Private Equity. Overall purpose of role
The role holder will have a global mandate to invest on behalf of the Barclay’s Flagship Private Equity Vintage Programme into direct co-investment opportunities and be part of the creation of new co-investment products in the future.
Key Accountabilities
Stakeholder Management and Leadership
The role holder will be a key member of the Private Markets team both internally and externally. They will report to the Head of Private Markets but will sit within the Portfolio selection and due diligence team. They will be jointly accountable for all investment decisions across co-investments as well as fund selection.
Decision-making and Problem Solving
The role holder should have a background in due diligence and be highly analytical. They would be expected to solely run the end-to-end sourcing, due diligence and execution of each co-investment opportunity which would require sound decision making and stakeholder management.
Person Specification
The role holder should have an existing track record of co-investing in Private Equity alongside top quartile fund managers, with a particular focus on the US and Europe.
