The role

London or Manchester (Hybrid working model, 2 days a week office based, 3 days remote)

Fantastic opportunity to secure an initial 6 months contract as a Test Assurance Analyst with Smart DCC on a hybrid working model. The Test Assurance Analyst will support the Test Assurance Leads and Test Assurance Manager in working with the Service Providers on system testing matters.

What will you be doing?

  1. Support DCC’s engagement with its Service Providers on system testing matters.
  2. Review assigned aspects of system testing being undertaken by the Service Providers.
  3. Analysis of test evidence to confirm that established criteria have been or identify the discrepancies.
  4. Timely escalation of issues to the Test Assurance Services Manager and Test Leads (as appropriate).
  5. Production of high-quality Test Artefacts and test progress reports.
  6. Presentation of reports to DCC stakeholders and Test governance forums.

What are we looking for?

  1. Extensive experience as a test professional with relevant testing experience and preferably ISQTB certified, able to evidence actual test analysis skills, deconstructing business requirements and design documents to design tests.
  2. Keenness and ability to rapidly understand complex functionality and architectures.
  3. Understanding of testing standards and processes, and how these can be applied to a service provider including completion of witnessing tests and inspecting test results.
  4. Strong analytical skills, able to identify exceptions to the agreed test approach, propose alternative solutions and appropriate responses.
  5. Strong communications skills, written and verbal with good presentation and persuasion skills, able to present technical issues to a non-technical group.
  6. Significant SMETS1 knowledge is desirable for this role, specifically Comms Hub and Networks experience within the Smart Meter environment.

Step 1

Once the interview process has been completed the successful candidate will receive an offer.
