Health and Safety Manager Midlands/ UK travel Permanent GBP60,000 – GBP80,000
This is a newly created role that will see you take the lead in health and safety by collaborating with senior leadership to foster a forward–thinking and sustainable safety culture, driving continuous improvement, and embedding a safety–first mindset to achieve zero harm. The role entails providing strategic oversight to ensure compliance with safety performance standards, while leading and mentoring a skilled team of safety professionals to implement exemplary safety systems and uphold organisational values.
The Health and Safety Manager will be responsible for:
Drive the development, implementation, and improvement of health and safety strategies, policies, and practices across the organisation.
Work closely with senior management to foster a culture of continuous improvement in safety performance.
Managing, motivating and developing a team of Health and Safety professionals.
Lead by example by demonstrating visible safety leadership through consistent engagement and interaction.
The Health and Safety Manager will have:
NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent as a minimum; ideally a member of IOSH.
5+ years of experience within senior H&S positions in sectors such as Waste Management, Construction, Aggregates or Transport.
Previous experience of leading and developing a team of H&S professionals.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence safety at a senior level.
