Pipeline Analysis

Advanced technological and engineering platform for the design, construction and operation of safe and sustainable complex infrastructure and plants.

We are currently looking for an experienced installation analysis engineer to join the team.

Candidates will:

1. Be involved in general installation of pipeline, umbilical and flexible systems.
2. Provide support to the Offshore Business Unit activities of the Saipem Group, in terms of advanced and non-conventional structural analyses and numerical simulations.
3. Develop new criteria, methodologies, and components to be applied for the design and installation of subsea field development and sealines systems.

Tasks:

1. Act as Project Specialist (PS) and Project Specialist Leader (PSL) for Structures and Sealines Advanced Study in relation to Design Engineering Activities.
2. Develop in a totally autonomous way the assigned jobs, with an adequate level of quality and in due time.
3. Develop in a totally autonomous way the relationships with the internal and external clients, with reference to the assigned job.
4. Write comprehensive and top-quality industry standard technical reports.
5. Participate in meetings with clients.

Department Activities:

1. Perform department activities under the guidance of the department head.
2. Contribute to update and improve the department tools for predicting pipeline structural integrity.
3. Contribute to maintain the department excellence.
4. Write Working Instructions.
5. Contribute to the definition, implementation, and improvement of the department quality system.
6. Contribute to the standardization and definition of procedures for the department and coordinate the software validation.
7. Maintain the process of Lesson Learning.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Understanding of installation and constructability aspects of pipeline, umbilical, and flexible systems.
2. Degree qualified in civil, structural, mechanical, or aeronautical discipline.
3. Previous experience in Pipelay engineering.

Software:

1. Working knowledge of Orca Flex software.
