Workday HCM Compensation Specialist

Parexel is seeking an experienced Workday HCM Compensation Implementation Specialist to join our HR Systems team. As an HCM Compensation SME, you will be responsible for providing functional expertise and leadership in the design, development, and implementation of Workday HR solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Workday HR/Advanced Compensation management modules.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Support the Workday Compensation capability area. May also have opportunities to support HCM Core, Staffing/Onboarding, Benefits, Talent Management, Recruiting, etc.
2. Partner with Compensation/Total Rewards Team in design and deployment of complex global annual merit and bonus cycles in Workday.
3. Analysis, solutions design and development, product delivery and post-production migration support of functional modifications and enhancements to Workday HR systems/tools.
4. Serve as Workday SME; actively participate in Workday Releases and staying ahead of new features/functionality being introduced by Workday.
5. Manage annual compensation administration to include merit and incentive processes. Ensure system and data interfaces are current and optimized.
6. Maintain salary administration to include job structure, total compensation structure, eligibility, communication and training, etc.
7. Be part of the team responsible for the business configuration and maintenance of the Workday HR Systems supporting internal employees as well as other downstream systems and processes.
8. Knowledge of HR processes.
9. Knowledge of touch points in HCM, payroll, benefits, time tracking, recruiting, and security.
10. Viewed as a trusted advisor and credible business process and technical expert to the business teams.
11. Translate business and technical requirements into a project and architectural blueprint that achieves desired business objectives - this includes identifying solutions for Workday product gaps. Assist in crafting and presenting a solution to influence key decision makers.
12. Global Coverage including America, EMEA and APJC regions.
13. Serve as a designated Subject Matter Expert (SME) and system administrator.
14. Partner with HRBPs and senior leaders to identify opportunities to better leverage Workday; create project plans and implement improvements/deploy new features based on those findings.
15. Regularly maintain awareness of new updates to the system and effectively communicate appropriate information to impacted stakeholders.
16. Implement process improvements and new features on a rolling basis.
17. Configure, test, and administer annual processes in Workday:
1. Performance Reviews for regular and eligible workers.
2. Compensation (salary increases and bonuses) for regular and eligible workers.
18. Create and maintain dashboards; deploy dashboards to business leaders.
19. Serve as the primary reviewer when data is entered into the system; regularly audit system data for accuracy.
20. Proactively plan and effectively coordinate the overall departmental preparations for major system updates to include establishing the update timeline for Parexel, identification of roles and responsibilities, as well as the proactive communication of each update to team members including regular and effective periodic status updates.
21. Serve as a main support contact for user questions and proactively take ownership of identified issues – either independently researching and resolving the issue or escalating the issue, as appropriate.

Qualified candidates should possess:

1. Experience leading Core and Advanced Compensation cycles in Workday.
2. Experience deploying multiple Workday HCM implementations.
3. 3+ years of experience as a hands-on Workday SME, configuring and maintaining modules related to HCM, Core and Advanced Compensation etc.
4. Excellent customer service and communication skills to work with internal executive leadership and clients directly to resolve issues.
5. Strong Communication skills that can translate business needs into system configuration.

Education:

1. Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred.
2. Workday Core HR, Workday Compensation certifications required.
