We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Senior Physiotherapist in MSK Outpatients to join our team as part of the Outpatient Therapy team.

Our friendly department is full of opportunity for a dynamic, enthusiastic physiotherapist who wishes to progress their clinical expertise and leadership skills. This post would be based primarily within our Hospital site but the post holder may also be required to run weekly clinics in one of our satellite locations and will be required to work some hours within Pelvic Health.

We are looking for an experienced Band 5 or current Band 6 Physiotherapist with a keen interest in the field of MSK Outpatients and Pelvic Health. You will have a wide range of clinical experience, good communication skills, interpersonal skills and passion for delivering excellent patient centred care.

Main Duties of the Job

• Deliver a high standard of evidence-based care working as part of the MSK and Pelvic Health Therapy team.
• Perform Physiotherapy assessments of patients, providing a diagnosis to develop and deliver an individualised treatment programme.
• Hold responsibility for your own caseload and supervising students and B4/5 staff.
• Participate in the Orthopaedic weekend working rota.

Person Specification

Essential Experience and Knowledge:

• Minimum 18 months to 2 years post-graduate experience
• Previous experience in specialist clinical area
• Band 5 rotational experience
• Involvement in audit
• Supervisory experience
• Contribution to clinical education of less experienced staff

Essential Qualifications and Professional Training:

• Diploma/Degree in Physiotherapy
• Registration with HCPC
• Evidence of CPD maintained in a portfolio including recent attendance at relevant post-graduate courses

Essential Skills and Abilities:

• Understanding of clinical governance and its application
• Highly developed physical skills for assessment and manual treatment
• Excellent communication skills
• Able to prioritise and organise own workload
• Able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team

Other Requirements:

• Able to commit to flexible working and weekend working
• Driving license and access to motor vehicle for work purposes
