London, The Wellington Hospital (Golders Green & Elstree DTC)
Full time, 37.5 hours per week
Shift times: 7.5 hour shifts between 08:00 and 20:00
Permanent
Salary: Up to £54,500 dependent upon experience

We’re looking for a Clinical Specialist Radiographer to join our Outpatients team at Golders Green Outpatients Department & Elstree DTC, part of The Wellington Hospital, currently rated “Good” by the CQC.

All our sites have state-of-the-art MRI scanners, ensuring the highest clinical imaging quality. We have 6 MRI scanners, three 1.5T and three 3T scanners. We have an iMRI scanning unit with integration with a digital theatre, tied in with that we perform advanced neuro scans including functional, perfusion and spectroscopy. As the gamma knife is based in one of our sites we do all of the gamma knife planning scans.

Our top-of-the-line CT scanners are capable of delivering exceptional image quality with reduced scanning times and minimal radiation doses. With CT scans, we can aid in the diagnosis of inflammation, diseases, and cancer, as well as monitor various health conditions such as those affecting the brain, internal organs, soft tissues, joints, and bones. Our priority is ensuring patient safety, and our commitment to using low radiation doses guarantees the utmost safety during our scanning procedures.

As a Specialist Radiographer, you’ll provide a high level of customer-focused service to our patients and service users through high quality diagnostic radiography.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Rotate throughout all areas of the Outpatients department at both Golders Green and Elstree DTC, providing a safe and effective radiology service.
  • Work closely with the Radiologists and Consultants in setting up policies and protocols for all imaging and patient pathways.
  • Identify improvements on an ongoing basis and oversee the implementation of such improvements as agreed with the line manager.
  • Assist the day to day running of the imaging service.
  • Assist with patient bookings and administrative duties where necessary, ensuring verified radiologist reports are delivered in a timely manner.
  • Assist with staff orientation and training.

What you’ll bring:

  • HCPC registration.
  • Extensive MRI and/or CT experience gained post-graduation, ideally in the UK.
  • High level of understanding with regards to clinical governance and protocols relating to MRI and/or CT and Plain Film scanning.
