DHL, an award-winning, leading supply chain business, is seeking a Business Analysis Manager. In this role, you will oversee the data management for DHL using external and internal data sources. The data is critical to DHL and client operations and requires process-driven decisions to ensure quality and integrity are always maintained.
A second requirement is for BI/data insights to support growth and performance, which is becoming a key source of competitive advantage for DHL within the industry. Reporting to the Operations Director, the Business Analysis Manager plays a pivotal role in driving data-driven decision-making and business performance indicators by overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of business intelligence solutions.
WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will be responsible for:
- Managing two direct reports: a Data Manager and a BI Manager.
- Ensuring that the organisation has access to accurate and actionable data insights to support strategic and operational goals.
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures for effective data handling and management.
- Streamlining data collection and analysis procedures to ensure fast access to metrics.
- Outlining operational IT strategy and ensuring it aligns with both DHL and customer roadmaps.
- Engaging with other senior management to articulate business requirements into operational changes and continuous improvements.
- Engaging with IT divisions to translate and understand complex technical processes and deliver change.
- Facilitating workshops to introduce changes to the operation and project manage the delivery timelines.
- Developing, executing, and maintaining the BI strategy aligned with business/customer objectives.
- Engaging with the wider DHL network and sharing best practices to support the JLR business.
- Supporting UAT (User Acceptance Testing) for the operation where possible.
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?
- Proven experience of leadership and team management within a BI team or similar.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Project management skills to oversee BI initiatives from concept to implementation.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Power BI or equivalent BI reporting systems and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Understanding of Microsoft SharePoint and cloud-based service solutions.
- Desirable: understanding of SQL, DAX, and Power Query M Formula Language, and exposure to Oracle Transport Management (OTM) would be useful.
