Early Years Educator Apprenticeship - The Hyde Nursery

About the employer:

Housed in the iconic Hyde Institute, which once served as a library to the Barnet community, the Hyde Nursery is an Ofsted-registered 88-place Nursery, new for 2022, and ideal for those who live and work in Barnet.
The Nursery is the tenth setting for CC Nurseries Group, who provide quality care and early childhood experiences to over 800 families across England and Scotland.

Overview of role:

In an Early Years setting, it is essential to provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments, and resources tailored to the children's age and developmental stage. This includes enhancing their physical, intellectual, social, and emotional development, ensuring their holistic growth. A key responsibility is assisting in embedding an effective key person approach, which helps children form secure attachments and fosters a sense of security. Equally important is ensuring the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff member, parent, and visitor at all times. Collaboration within the team is crucial to support all children and colleagues, while ensuring that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are consistently met.

Key details:

  • Hours: Monday to Friday (shifts tbc), 38 hours per week
  • All Year Round (52 weeks per year)
  • Wage: £7.55 per hour
  • Location: The Hyde Institute Building, Church Passage, Barnet, Barnet, EN5 4QS

Apprenticeship details:

  • Qualification: Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship
  • Duration of course: 19 months
  • Training Provider: LMP Education (Rated No 1 Training Provider!)
  • All learning delivered online/ remotely alongside role.

Full Duties and Responsibilities:

As Early Childhood Developer Apprentice, you will support children between the ages of 0-5 in their development and care. Work to provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments, and resources to children that are appropriate to their age and stage of development, whilst also enhancing the daily needs of children.

You will be supported to complete a formal apprenticeship and 20% of your working hours will be spent on your knowledge, skills, and behaviour development.
