Job description

Overview
We are seeking a Production / Fulfilment / Warehouse operative to join our client based in Burgess Hill. (Due to location, you must be a driver.) This is a temporary role; however, there are opportunities to go permanent for the right person. The ideal candidate will be reliable and used to working in a production / fulfilment environment. If you have a passion for manufacturing and a keen eye for detail, we would love to hear from you.

  5. Hours - Week 1 - 3, 7am to 4pm; Week 4, 8am - 5pm.

Responsibilities:

  1. Support with unloading deliveries from lorries.
  2. Operate and monitor production machinery to ensure optimal performance.
  3. Measure and mix food ingredients in commercial mixers to specifications.
  4. Clean station down throughout the day (this will include raw meat) adhering to health and safety regulations.
  5. Move products out of the freezer for use that day.
  6. Package finished products and label.
  7. Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
  8. Assist in the training of new staff on operational procedures and safety practices.

Qualifications:

  1. Proficiency in production / warehousing / stock.
  2. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
  3. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  4. Ability to work on your own as well as collaborating with team members.
  5. Experience in an environment with foodstuffs would be an advantage but not essential.
