We are currently recruiting a Quality Coordinator to join us and work on our project site in Royal Docks area, East London.
The role of the Quality Coordinator is to ensure the business has the correct quality assurance mechanisms in place, in order to: qualify for contracts, manage and control compliance, meet emerging business development initiatives and to improve contract delivery performance whilst minimising risk.
The successful candidate will be expected to attend the Freedom’s office in Royal Docks, London, and this is not a full-time ‘work from home’ role. However, the contractual ‘place of work’ will be their home address, so any expenses incurred in travel to the office will be paid for.
Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:
- Prepare, implement and manage engineering specific processes and documentation in line with group, industry standards (inc. Principal Contractors Licence) contract specific requirements and development of new Business streams / delivery approaches.
- Management / administration of Field View electronic system, including design and configuration of QA forms (e.g. ITPs) in the Field View system.
- Monitor and report on business compliance with documented Freedom / NG Bailey specific processes (site and office functions) through direct contact and via management of part time Internal audit resources.
- Monitor and report on downstream supply chain compliance, as and when required.
- Manage the identification and implementation of corrective and preventive actions to address known and emerging issues.
- Support the business through preparation for and hosting of planned assessments.
- Provide support to the Business Development / Estimating Department in the preparation of pre-qualification and tender documentation in regard to Quality Assurance and compliance to appropriate standards.
- Measure business performance in relation to customer perception and ad-hoc complaint / compliment data, recommending and implementing.
- Establish and maintain key relationships within the division and wider group (i.e. L&D, SHE, procurement, business assurance team etc.)
What we’re looking for:
- Quality management experience or qualifications
- Good knowledge of ISO9001
- Excellent IT skills (Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly MS Word and Excel is essential).
- Excellent working knowledge of an electronic Quality Management System.
- Experience of working on Field View system (or similar) is desirable.
- Working experience of auditing and working with internal and external supply chain is desirable.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work to deadlines.
