Service Engineer in Colchester

Newstaff Employment is recruiting an experienced Service Engineer to join a well-established company in Colchester. Reporting directly to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair of JCB and other agricultural machinery to manufacturer specifications, ensuring machine reliability and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Service and maintain JCB and other agricultural machinery in line with manufacturer standards
• Identify and report machine defects, upselling additional services when possible
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and powertrain faults efficiently
• Operate diagnostic software via a laptop when required (training provided)
• Complete detailed reports on work completed, including photographs and time documentation

Requirements & Personal Attributes:

• Background in agricultural, construction, or commercial vehicles is an advantage
• Willingness to work flexible hours to complete jobs as required
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Full product training provided for the right candidate
• Ability to use diagnostic software (training available)

Overtime available, especially during peak season

24 days holiday + 8 bank holidays per year
