Your experience of sub-system design and passion for delivery will help you to develop complex weapons systems across several exciting weapon system development programmes, specifically looking at command and control sub-systems for these projects.

About the job:

Our client is looking for sub-system design engineers to fill a number of roles in requirements management, design definition and proving. This role will allow you to expand on your experience with; reviewing changes to the sub-system technical requirements, liaising with various technical, design, safety and customer support partners, as well as supporting and agreeing changes in the sub-system interface specifications.

Working in the Command and Control product line, you will be providing the weapon system operators with the information and tools that they need to perform their mission.

About you:
As a Sub-Systems Design Engineer you will need to have the skills to understand complex systems and to create innovative solutions.
This means you will need experience with some of the following:

1. Applicable experience in systems engineering, product development, software development or a similar discipline.
2. Authoring sub-system software and hardware requirements specifications.
3. Developing and proposing changes to sub-system software design.
4. Authoring sub-system design documentation.
5. Developing test specifications and verification plans for sub-system requirements.
6. Managing traceability of requirements, test definitions and certification evidence.
7. Verification and certification of the sub-system.

Due to the nature of work undertaken at our client's site, incumbents of these positions are required to meet special nationality rules and therefore these vacancies are only open to sole British Citizens. Applicants who meet this criteria will also be required to undergo security clearance vetting, to SC level.
