Asbestos Consultant - SOCOTEC, Nationwide

To support our ambitious growth plans, we have a great opportunity to join our Asbestos team. SOCOTEC Asbestos boasts a rich history dating back to 2003. Now part of the global SOCOTEC Group, it stands as one of the UK's largest asbestos consultancies. Integrated within SOCOTEC UK's diverse Testing, Inspection, and Certification business, SOCOTEC Asbestos offers unparalleled expertise.

Over the past two decades, SOCOTEC Asbestos has achieved remarkable growth, expanding from three offices to six strategically located to serve all of mainland UK and beyond. Our client base has also undergone a significant shift. We've transitioned from local government and housing contracts to focus primarily on prestigious clients in Defence, infrastructure (rail, roads, power stations), retail, heritage, and services sectors.

We’re looking for an experienced Asbestos Consultant who will:

• Carry out consultancy, gap analysis, and asbestos management plans
• Work closely with SOCOTEC stakeholders – business development, Regional Managers, Project Managers etc. to develop existing client relationships, specifically in consultancy
• Manage the client relationship within the region and beyond where required
• Provide in-house mentoring and 1-2-1 training
• Monitor, manage, and report ongoing contract metrics

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

• Ability to think and operate in a fast-paced consultancy environment to promote the business commercially and sustain high technical standards
• At least 10 years’ experience in asbestos consultancy
• BOHS CCP in Asbestos

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Level 4 Teaching qualification (or above) and experience delivering BOHS P modules
• NEBOSH certificate in general Health and Safety or equivalent
