Cost Accountant M/F/D

The role is responsible for meeting business needs by supporting the finance department in cost accounting and the preparation of the company’s management accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Providing Product Costing to Commercial and Operations Teams
2. Investigation of Sales and Production Variances
3. Maintain Standard Costs in ERP System
4. Preparation of Sales Analysis
5. Maintain and Reconcile Stock System
6. Preparation of Management Accounts, Budgets and Forecasts
7. Development and Maintenance of Financial Systems
8. Providing Fixed Cost Analysis to Budget Holders
9. Provide timely and accurate information both Internally and Externally
10. Manage Accounts Payable team member
11. Ad hoc Projects

Required Skills:

1. Knowledge of ERP Systems
2. Extensive costing experience (CoGS/BoMS/Std Costing/Works Orders)
3. Ability to multi-task and work under pressure, meeting deadlines with minimal supervision
4. Self-driven and motivated to achieve
5. Good attention to detail and accuracy
6. Ability to investigate discrepancies
7. Credible and confident communication skills both within and outside of the department
8. Good organisational and planning skills
9. Advanced excel skills
10. CIMA Part Qualified minimum
11. Experience of Microsoft Navision desirable
12. Experience in the Chemical Industry would be desirable
13. Experience of People Management desirable
14. Must be eligible to work in the UK
