Health & Safety Manager – 6 Month FTC – Construction – Watford – Up to GBP60k pro rata


About the company

We are recruiting for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join a fantastic business on a 6–month contract. The business is a leading contractor in the construction industry with a fantastic reputation and a history of hundreds of projects across Europe. This is an urgent requirement – they can accommodate an immediate start. This is a contract position with the potential to go permanent.

Health & Safety Manager – Responsibilities & Requirements

  • Must have proven Health & Safety experience, ideally within a construction based environment
  • Responsible for carrying out daily Health & Safety inspections on the project
  • Reporting to the Project Manager and Managing Director
  • Reviewing sub–contractor RAMS
  • Effective communication skills and able to deal with people at all levels
  • Carrying out toolbox talks and delivering briefings
  • Responsible for assisting site teams and supporting with site related health and safety issues
  • Assisting in introducing new health, safety and environmental initiatives
  • Carrying out accident reports and near miss analysis
  • Experience with relevant regulations such as LOLER, PUWER, ISO45001, Health & Safety at Work act 1974
  • You will be positive, reliable and flexible in your approach
