Croydon Council, Adults Social Care, is seeking to recruit an experienced social worker to work in the Adults Early Intervention Support Service (AEISS) leading the way in delivering vital first-point-of-contact services to adults in need of support.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure timely and efficient responses to referrals and inquiries received.
  2. Make decisions about care eligibility and safeguarding concerns in line with the Care Act 2014 and other relevant legislation.
  3. Complete assessments to ensure individuals receive the right care and advice promptly.
  4. Promote a strengths-based approach to assessments, focusing on early intervention, prevention, and supporting independence.
  5. Provide clear and accessible information and advice to individuals, carers, and families.
  6. Work closely with individuals and communities to ensure services are responsive and inclusive, particularly for vulnerable or hard-to-reach groups.

We are looking for someone who has experience working in adult social care, with in-depth knowledge of safeguarding legislation to ensure the safety and protection of vulnerable adults.

In return, you will receive a competitive salary and benefits package, the ability to work to a hybrid model, opportunities for further learning and development, and the chance to make a real difference in the lives of adults requiring social care support in a supportive and collaborative working environment.

There are two full-time vacancies (36 hrs per week): 1 X Permanent and 1 X Fixed term / Secondment. Please indicate in your supporting statement which role you wish to be considered for.
