Key Responsibilities
  1. Act as a key Finance point of contact for stakeholders within the local business and the wider Bunzl group.
  2. Support decision-making by providing commercial insights and analysis to drive performance.
  3. Lead the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  4. Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency while maintaining high customer service standards.
  5. Manage cash flow reporting, including forecasting, payments, and approvals.
  6. Provide financial analysis for capital expenditure requests and business projects.
  7. Support the preparation of management accounts and internal/external financial reporting.
  8. Oversee inventory reporting, including stock provisions and count reviews.
  9. Review tax treatment queries and submissions, including R&D credits, CIS, Reverse Charge & IR35 compliance.
  10. Collaborate with auditors (internal and external) to ensure compliance and address control weaknesses.
  11. Maintain a strong financial control environment and ensure ongoing process improvements.
Skills & Experience Required
  1. Part-qualified or qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent experience.
  2. Strong commercial acumen with experience in a finance business partnering role.
  3. Ability to influence stakeholders and drive commercial decision-making.
  4. Strong analytical skills and adaptability.
  5. Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
