Job Title: Supply Teacher
Location: Wimborne, Dorset
Salary: £94 - £140 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: After Easter 2025 or September 2025
Contract: Full-time, permanent (part-time can also be arranged for the right candidate)

About the Role:

As a Supply Teacher, you will cover a range of subjects and year groups, delivering pre-planned lessons and maintaining an effective learning environment in the absence of permanent teaching staff. This role is designed for those who enjoy diversity in their teaching schedule while still making a meaningful impact on students’ education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and structured lessons across multiple subjects, following pre-set lesson plans.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring a positive and focused learning atmosphere.
  • Quickly adapt to different school environments and student needs.
  • Provide support and encouragement to students, helping them stay engaged with their learning.
  • Work collaboratively with school staff to ensure smooth lesson transitions and continuity in learning.
  • Uphold school policies, including safeguarding and behaviour management procedures.
  • Maintain professionalism and enthusiasm while teaching a diverse range of students.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is a must.
  • Experience teaching in primary schools, with the ability to teach across various subjects.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build rapport with students.
  • Adaptability and resilience in different school settings.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
