We have a fantastic opportunity for a Transatlantic Sea Logistics Field Sales Representative to join our team in the UK.

Your Role

The Transatlantic Focused Field Sales is a national role that predominantly focuses on new business in the Small & Medium Enterprise (SME) segment for Export and Import. They are part of our Trade Team and report directly to the Trade Manager. The ideal candidate has a thorough, up-to-date and in-depth understanding of the Transatlantic market in terms of the geography of the trade and the service offerings such as sailings, transit times, reliability, specific country documentation regulations, local standards, operational requirements, as well as the type of industry/goods/commodity traded on the particular routes. The Transatlantic Field Sales Representative will spend most of their time in customer-facing activities, hunting for new business and working hand in hand with the Trade team to identify and follow up on sales leads and develop new opportunities, whilst also working alongside Customer Care teams to assist in delivering excellence in customer support.

Your Responsibilities

  1. Generating new business opportunities with a clear focus on SME
  2. Taking pricing decisions in alignment with the relevant stakeholders
  3. Preparing and submitting quotations to the customers
  4. Delivering presentations about our main Sea Logistics products
  5. Monitoring competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing & products
  6. Reporting customer complaints to the Customer Care team and aligning with them when onboarding new customers
  7. Performing the related CRM tasks/activities
  8. Attending customer events, exhibitions, and meetings (internal & external)

Your Skills and Experiences

  1. Previous experience in Sea Logistics Field Sales
  2. Knowledge of the Transatlantic market is highly advantageous
  3. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  4. Business and commercial acumen
  5. The ability and desire to work with ambiguity and varied priorities; strong prioritization skills are a must
  6. Ability to be creative, challenge the norms, and try new ideas
  7. This role is national and international travel may be required to support development
