Delivery Driver

Market 36 Recruitment currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Collections Agent/Delivery Driver to join our client in West Lothian on a permanent basis.

This role involves traveling to a variety of customer sites within your region to collect a wide range of redundant IT equipment. It requires strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and a commitment to environmental responsibility.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Visits customer premises to collect redundant IT equipment.
2. Works with other members of the team to ensure depot targets are achieved.
3. Provides excellent customer service during collection visits.
4. Adds customer inquiries and concerns professionally.
5. Completes collection documentation.
6. Ensures all asset and serial data is captured on site to enable accurate traceability of items.
7. Communicates with the Scheduling team to escalate issues or variations occurring on site.
8. Safely loads and secures IT equipment in the collection van to prevent damage during transportation.
9. Is flexible in approach to scheduled routes and core working hours, willing to adopt last-minute changes.
10. Is willing to work away from home on occasion.
11. Conducts routine inspections of the collection van and reports any maintenance needs.
12. Ensures the cleanliness and organization of the collection vehicle.
13. Complies and adheres to Company Policies & Procedures.
14. Maintains site security and adheres to security policy & procedure.
15. Maintains good housekeeping practices.
16. Completes any other reasonable instruction from management.

Skills, Knowledge, Experience:

1. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
2. Previous experience in a similar driving or logistics role preferred.
3. Familiarity with handling and transporting IT equipment is advantageous.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment.
6. Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
7. Due to insurance purposes, our client is only able to consider applicants aged 25 and over.

Working hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:00 pm. If you complete the working day sooner than anticipated, you will still be paid for a minimum of 40 hours weekly. In some instances, out-of-hours or long-distance collections will be required, necessitating late or early starts or nights away to complete.

In return, our client offers a starting salary of £27,249 per annum, with regular overtime available, alongside a generous pension scheme and regular salary reviews. There is also an opportunity to complete additional driving qualifications following a successful probation period and the potential for career progression within the company.

The successful candidates will be expected to undertake a DBS check.
