Market 36 Recruitment currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Collections Agent/Delivery Driver to join our client in West Lothian on a permanent basis.
This role involves traveling to a variety of customer sites within your region to collect a wide range of redundant IT equipment. It requires strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and a commitment to environmental responsibility.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Visits customer premises to collect redundant IT equipment.
- Works with other members of the team to ensure depot targets are achieved.
- Provides excellent customer service during collection visits.
- Adds customer inquiries and concerns professionally.
- Completes collection documentation.
- Ensures all asset and serial data is captured on site to enable accurate traceability of items.
- Communicates with the Scheduling team to escalate issues or variations occurring on site.
- Safely loads and secures IT equipment in the collection van to prevent damage during transportation.
- Is flexible in approach to scheduled routes and core working hours, willing to adopt last-minute changes.
- Is willing to work away from home on occasion.
- Conducts routine inspections of the collection van and reports any maintenance needs.
- Ensures the cleanliness and organization of the collection vehicle.
- Complies and adheres to Company Policies & Procedures.
- Maintains site security and adheres to security policy & procedure.
- Maintains good housekeeping practices.
- Completes any other reasonable instruction from management.
Skills, Knowledge, Experience:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in a similar driving or logistics role preferred.
- Familiarity with handling and transporting IT equipment is advantageous.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Due to insurance purposes, our client is only able to consider applicants aged 25 and over.
Working hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:00 pm. If you complete the working day sooner than anticipated, you will still be paid for a minimum of 40 hours weekly. In some instances, out-of-hours or long-distance collections will be required, necessitating late or early starts or nights away to complete.
In return, our client offers a starting salary of £27,249 per annum, with regular overtime available, alongside a generous pension scheme and regular salary reviews. There is also an opportunity to complete additional driving qualifications following a successful probation period and the potential for career progression within the company.
The successful candidates will be expected to undertake a DBS check.
