Job description

Position:

  • Liaising with hauliers and the internal transport team
  • Providing a high level of customer service at all times and building good business relationships with clients
  • Liaising with customers, overseas agents, and shipping lines
  • Administration tasks
  • Maintaining commercial awareness at all times
  • Any duties/tasks as requested by your Line Manager or a Director.

Requirements:

  • Work harmoniously with others, respond positively to instructions and suggestions, share critical information, adopt high standards of communication, show enthusiasm and willingness to succeed, value working relationships, and positively challenge current practices to improve efficiencies.
  • Be regularly present and punctual, complete work accurately and timely, commit to doing the best possible job, and maintain high standards of work with great attention to detail.
  • Comply with and promote all safety policies, encourage others to adopt the same approach, take personal responsibility for their own safety and that of others, and report all breaches of health and safety.
  • Follow detailed procedures and ensure accuracy.
  • GCSE or A Level qualification in English and Maths.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work to deadlines with accuracy.
  • Ability to work well within a small team and use own initiative.
  • Computer literate with commercial acumen.
  • Flexible and adaptable attitude with a willingness to learn new skills.
