Job description

A growing Private Equity firm is looking for a Payroll and Compensation Manager to join their team.

The Payroll Manager will be responsible for the firm’s payroll and will partner closely with HR, Finance, and other teams to ensure a seamless payroll operation globally, reporting into the Finance Director. They are looking to offer the successful candidate between £70,000 - 100,000.

Main Duties:

  • Ensure all the data is correct for payroll processing.
  • Compliance and Reporting - Ensure compliance with all internal and external local payroll regulations and laws.
  • Responsible for the staff budget and half-yearly reforecasts.
  • Significant input in the bi-annual salary and bonus review cycle.
  • Key input in annual remuneration committee meetings.
  • Lead on the company's compensation review processes.
  • Conduct company-wide annual compensation benchmarking to propose salary and bonus banding to ensure the company remains competitive and in line with market trends.
  • Complete regular audits of payroll procedures and records to ensure compliance.
  • Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and implement changes as necessary.
  • Ensure all payroll balance sheet reconciliations are completed.
  • Collaboration - Work closely with HR and Finance departments to ensure accurate employee data and handle payroll-related reports and data to senior management.

Person Specification:

  • CIPP qualified or QBE.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.
  • Proven experience in a previous payroll management role.
  • German payroll experience is very desirable.
