The CAD Technician position will be based at Head office and will provide the successful and ambitious candidate a fantastic opportunity to further their Design career within a very knowledgeable, well-respected business.

As a CAD Technician, you will support the technical team with detailed CAD drawings and technical calculations across roofing & cladding project specifications, providing technical advice and expertise to internal and external stakeholders and interfacing with customers across bespoke, complex design projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Produce detailed CAD drawings across a range of roofing & cladding projects.
2. Attend client sites with the team where necessary when scoping the design.
3. Produce schedules of materials to an agreed programme for buying.
4. Collating of O&M Manuals & obtaining supplier guarantees.
5. Undertake technical calculations for projects and associated risk elements.
6. Attend and contribute within design meetings with the wider design team and clients.
7. Provide technical design support and advice to clients and associated project stakeholders.

Experience & Skills Required:

1. Experienced CAD Technician using AutoCAD software (ideally 2+ years’ experience as minimum) and have performed a similar role within the Cladding or associated External Building Envelope Sector.
2. Ability to work both independently and collaborate within a team to ensure the delivery of project design to the required programmes within tight time constraints.
3. Excellent communication skills & problem-solving abilities.
4. Able to think outside of the box and work well under pressure to project deadlines.
5. Have a desire to learn and progress within their design career.
6. Full Driving licence and own transport.
