STOIX are supporting a successful, highly profitable family-owned business with big ambitions. With strong foundations and exciting growth plans—both organic and through acquisition—we’re looking for a talented Financial Controller to support our next chapter.

Acting as Deputy to the Finance Director, this is a hands-on, all-encompassing role where you’ll lead and develop the finance function while partnering closely with teams across the business. A background in retail or strong stock accounting knowledge is highly desirable.

Key responsibilities include:

• Overseeing financial accounting and ensuring compliance with relevant standards
• Delivering timely, accurate management accounts and insightful analysis
• Preparing and reviewing financial reports for internal and external stakeholders
• Managing tax compliance, including VAT and corporation tax
• Partnering with non-finance teams to support commercial decision-making
• Playing a key role in forecasting, budgeting and long-term planning
• Supporting M&A activity and integration of new businesses
• Driving continuous improvement across processes and controls

We’re looking for a proactive, ACA/ACCA Qualified, commercially-minded all-rounder with excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a growing, fast-paced environment. You will have a background in both large and SME businesses and ideally experience in a retail environment with stock accounting knowledge.
