Practice Nurse

The Practice: Proudly serve a patient list size of 13,500. Situated in a leafy suburb, a modern purpose-built facility, established six years ago, includes 16 consulting rooms and an attached pharmacy. Foster a forward-thinking environment, serving as a passionate training practice. Admin responsibilities are shared equally among staff, with care navigators actively involved, and utilise the Emis Web computer system. Boast a supportive and organised work culture, with generally good staff retention.

Your Role:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and flexible Practice Nurse to join our team on a full-time basis, with the option for condensed hours over four days.

The role requires availability on Fridays and offers flexibility in starting as early as 7 am, catering to individual preferences. The Enhanced Access day falls on Tuesdays, extending working hours until 8 pm. The morning clinic involves seeing 12 patients with 15-minute appointments, allowing for a mix of telephone and face-to-face consultations. Afternoon clinic details are adaptable to the clinician’s preference.

The focus of the day encompasses various responsibilities, including managing LTCs, conducting smears, administering baby IMS, travel vaccinations, and flu jabs. The appointment length is set at 15 minutes for both telephone and face-to-face consultations, catering to all age ranges. Home visits are not required. The practice ensures employed staff have their own rooms and emphasises career progression with supportive measures, including funding for training and development. We are seeking a team player with a can-do attitude, and previous experience in primary care is essential.
