Role Overview:

As a Commercial Property Solicitor at the firm, you will be handling a broad range of commercial property matters, working closely with local businesses, developers, landlords, and tenants. You will be responsible for providing expert legal advice, negotiating and drafting contracts, and managing a varied caseload. This is a great opportunity for a motivated Solicitor with a passion for commercial property law to join a close-knit team and grow with the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising clients on a wide range of commercial property matters, including lease negotiations, acquisitions and disposals, property development, and property management.
  • Drafting and reviewing commercial leases, sale and purchase agreements, and other property-related contracts.
  • Managing a varied caseload of commercial property transactions from start to finish, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Liaising with clients, third parties, and other professionals, such as surveyors and estate agents, to ensure smooth transaction processes.
  • Providing clear, practical, and commercially-focused legal advice to both businesses and individual clients.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client files and records in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Building and developing relationships with new and existing clients to help grow the commercial property practice.
  • Keeping up to date with changes in property law and ensuring best practices are followed.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Qualified Solicitor
  • Strong understanding of commercial property law, including landlord and tenant law, property transactions, and real estate development.
  • Proven experience managing a commercial property caseload with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and other professionals.
  • Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously.
  • A client-focused approach and the ability to provide practical, solution-oriented advice.
  • Ability to work well within a small, collaborative team and contribute to the development of the firm’s commercial property offering.
