Hourly rate: £14.10 per hour (plus £2 p/h extra for overtime!)
Location: Sovereign Lodge
Contract: Permanent (22 hours per week)

As a Senior Carer at Sovereign Lodge, you’ll combine hands-on care with team leader duties. It’s all about ensuring that every resident receives the very best care while mentoring and supporting your colleagues to be their best.

Here’s a flavour of what you’ll be doing:

  • Coaching and mentoring your team so they’re confident and skilled in every part of their role.
  • Supporting residents with a range of personal care needs, while making sure dignity, respect and privacy are always maintained.
  • Ensuring every resident has a comprehensive and up-to-date care plan that reflects their needs.
  • Dispensing medication with accuracy and care, keeping detailed records as you go.

This role is a mix of hands-on care and supervisory responsibilities, so you’ll need to feel comfortable juggling tasks while always keeping our residents’ happiness and wellbeing at the heart of what you do.

What makes a great Senior Carer?

We’re looking for someone who has worked in a care home or similar environment, and ideally, you’ll already have experience supervising and mentoring a team. You’ll also need a Health and Social Care qualification (Level 3) or the commitment to work towards one.
