Global HR Manager

Salary: Attractive salary plus benefits

Location: Cheshire

Our client is a successful, privately owned engineering business who are currently looking for an experienced Global HR Manager to lead their human resources function across all international operations.

Based at their offices in Cheshire, you will act as a central resource to align HR initiatives with business goals, manage cross-cultural teams, and ensure compliance with global employment legislation. This role is key to providing efficient and effective human resources services for the Group and you will be pivotal in contributing to the delivery of the company’s overall objectives.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Developing and implementing comprehensive HR strategies that align with the company’s vision and objectives
  2. Ensuring the company attracts, develops, and retains top talent while fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture
  3. Acting as a trusted advisor to the Board and senior management on HR-related matters
  4. Developing and implementing initiatives to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction
  5. Creating and executing recruitment strategies to attract top talent globally
  6. Overseeing onboarding, training, and retention programmes that cater to a global workforce and promote team member engagement, well-being, and productivity
  7. Monitoring and enhancing performance management systems, ensuring alignment with business goals
  8. Partnering with executive leadership to develop HR strategies that support business growth
  9. Fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace that supports a global workforce
  10. Overseeing employee relations locally and internationally in alignment with company policies, values and legislation
  11. Maintaining and updating HR policies and procedures in accordance with legal and regulatory changes

Candidate requirements:

  1. CIPD Qualified – Level 7, with demonstrable global HR experience ideally in an engineering or manufacturing environment
  2. Expert knowledge of international employment laws, HR best practices and compliance
  3. A confident leader with gravitas and excellent influencing and communication skills capable of inspiring trust and credibility at all levels
  4. Solutions orientated, supporting decisions with metrics and data
  5. Passion for developing talent and organisational growth
  6. Well-developed strategic skills and the ability to act as a visionary for the company
  7. Excellent organisational skills with the flexibility and capability to multitask and manage a varied workload
