Job Description:

Responsibilities:

1. Load and unload goods from delivery vehicles, ensuring items are handled safely and efficiently.
2. Organise and maintain inventory within the warehouse, ensuring all items are stored correctly.
3. Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (training may be provided).
4. Assist with the preparation of orders for dispatch, ensuring accuracy in picking and packing.
5. Drive delivery vans to transport goods to various locations as required.
6. Communicate effectively with team members regarding stock levels, order fulfilment, and any issues that may arise.
7. Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, promoting a safe working environment for all staff.
8. Perform heavy lifting tasks as necessary, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
9. If no picking, packing or driving, cleaning will be required - this will consist of sweeping floors, emptying bins, cutting up cardboard etc.

Requirements:

1. Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential.
2. A valid driving licence is required; experience as a delivery driver or van driver is advantageous.
3. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks (up to 25 kg) safely and efficiently.
4. Strong communication skills, with the ability to work well within a team.
5. A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and maintaining an organised workspace.
6. Flexibility to work varied shifts as needed by the operational requirements of the warehouse.
