Interior Designer Job in Bristol

An Interior Designer job is available with an employee owned AJ100 practice in Bristol working on a variety of large scale commercial projects.

This Architectural practice employs over 300 people across 10 regional offices. Due to a sustained increase in workload, they are now looking for an Interior Designer to join their Bristol office. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow within the team and develop their skills across a range of sectors.

Role & Responsibilities

1. Interpret design briefs and contribute creative ideas in line with client requirements
2. Assist in designing projects across various stages
3. Support project leaders with technical drawing packages, joinery drawings, and the production of FF&E schedules
4. Prepare and present concept proposals, mood boards, and presentation materials
5. Carry out research to inform design decisions
6. Participate in site visits, surveys, and inspections, documenting measurements and observations
7. Liaise with consultants, suppliers, and contractors as needed throughout project delivery
8. Organise and manage workload effectively, supporting several projects at once
9. Bring enthusiasm and creativity to large commercial schemes

Required Skills & Experience

1. Relevant degree in either Interior Architecture or Interior Design
2. Confident communicator with strong verbal and written skills
3. 1-year minimum experience in a UK design/architecture practice
4. Keen and genuine interest in current design trends
5. Adobe Creative Suite skills, in particular Photoshop and InDesign
6. Working experience with Revit required
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office
