My client is currently recruiting for a Facilities Supervisor in the Newcastle area.


Start date: ASAP
End date: 30/04/2025 (POTENTIAL TO BE EXTENDED)
Location: Q14 Quorum Business Park, Benton Lane, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE12 8BU
Hours per week: 37.5
Start/Finish time: 2 weekly rota 8am-4pm one week, 09:30am-5:30pm the next, Monday to Friday, no weekends or bank holidays!
Rate per hour: GBP14.50PH PAYE


A Facilities Supervisor is required to provide Facilities Management support services for our clients' offices. The Facilities Supervisor will be expected to ensure that a first-class service is provided to stakeholders based at and visiting the Newcastle site. This is expected to be a busy and exciting role and would suit an enthusiastic and dynamic individual with previous experience of working in a similar role in a Corporate Environment.


This is a multi-functional hands-on role and the Facilities Supervisor will be expected to ensure that all soft facilities services are delivered in accordance with the department's procedures and to an exceptional level at the site including but not limited to:

  1. Visitor management, including ensuring that the site rules have been read and understood.
  2. Switchboard duties, including answering and transferring calls and ensuring that the system is kept up to date.
  3. Assisting staff and visitors with meeting room bookings.
  4. Issuing ID badges and vehicle permits for permanent staff and ensuring that all lists and systems are maintained up to date.
  5. Ensuring that incoming and outgoing mail is dealt with efficiently.
  6. Ensuring that handovers and takeovers to/from the guarding company are managed effectively.

Who we're looking for:

An enthusiastic and dynamic individual, previous experience of working in a similar role in a corporate environment although not necessary as full training will be given.


Essential:

  • IT literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft.
  • Must be confident in dealing with people face to face, at all levels.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • The ability to work independently and manage varying workloads.
