Salary: GBP38000 - GBP40000 per annum

This business needs an Accounts Payable Manager who can make sure money flows smoothly. Someone who knows their way around invoices, reconciliations, and payment runs—but also understands that AP isn’t just about pushing buttons. It’s about relationships, efficiency, and keeping things running like a well-oiled machine.

What you’ll actually be doing:

1. Owning the Purchase Ledger – Keeping things accurate, up-to-date, and under control.
2. Leading a team – Because great teams don’t build themselves. You’ll recruit, train, and develop people to be the best they can be.
3. Fixing problems before they become disasters – Supplier queries, reconciliation headaches, cash flow hiccups… You’ll handle them.
4. Making processes better – Nobody likes inefficiency. You’ll find ways to streamline, automate, and improve how we work.
5. Keeping suppliers happy – Because no one likes late payments, and strong relationships matter.
6. Reporting like a pro – Using data to give finance and leadership the insights they need.

What do you need?

1. Experience leading an Accounts Payable team (you’ve done this before).
2. A sharp eye for detail and a knack for fixing broken processes.
3. The ability to juggle competing priorities without dropping the ball.
4. A way with people – you’ll need to influence, collaborate, and manage stakeholders.
5. A solid understanding of finance systems and reporting tools.
