Alexander James Recruiting is currently working with a leading dealer of material handling equipment looking to recruit a new forklift sales manager to cover and develop their client base across South Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire, and Derbyshire. With excellent, uncapped commission opportunities and scope for growth, this is a great opportunity for a sales professional looking to develop and take on a new role selling an innovative product.

Responsibilities

  1. Managing an existing client base across South Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire, and Derbyshire.
  2. Business development across the same area selling the company's innovative forklift solutions.
  3. Generate new business by visiting customers on-site, conducting site surveys, and providing customer quotes for forklift hire.
  4. Providing a consultative sales approach in order to win new business in the hire and sale of material handling and related equipment.
  5. Take responsibility for region revenue stream and overall growth.

Requirements

There is no set background for this role, but the company is keen on speaking to individuals with a sales background or hire/rental or general financial understanding, given that the role is focused on long-term contract hire of material handling equipment. Candidates with good numerical skills would also be preferred. Ultimately, the company is looking for driven and energetic individuals with professionalism and a long-term aim of having a sales career. The role comes with a lot of investment in the candidate for the longer term, including ongoing training and development and consistent salary reviews. In terms of location, you can be based anywhere within South Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire, or Derbyshire.
