Job Description

The Finance Business Partner will:

  • Develop, manage and maintain strong working relationships with various stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain good understanding of allocated business model (incl. activities, challenges and objectives)
  • Develop and promote the Finance Business Partnering function by increasing awareness and understanding of financial policies, processes and controls across the organisation
  • Ensure compliance and good governance with financial regulations and accounting standards
  • Provide timely advice on the preparation of proposals and tenders from financial perspective, identifying and quantifying associated costs, benefits and risks
  • Provide strong financial analysis and insights that link financial management reports to the business strategy
  • Analyse, interpret and communicate financial and performance data
  • Co-ordinate the development of financial plans for allocated stakeholders
  • Prepare indicative budgets for stakeholders
  • Provide timely and accurate information, financial guidance and advice to Project Managers and Budget Holders to allow effective budget management
  • Financial management of projects including claim preparation and invoicing, monitoring and analysis
  • Analyse, interpret and communicate monthly financial reports
  • Produce accurate financial forecasts and plans identifying, quantifying, where possible, and highlighting potential opportunities and risks.
  • Lead the preparation and execution of external project audits

The Successful Applicant

The Finance Business Partner will be/have:

  • Experience of supporting effective financial management and reporting
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Computer literate with excellent Excel skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships with internal & external stakeholders
  • Immediate availability
