Senior Corporate Actions Sepcialist

Substantial EMEA Hedge Fund is currently looking to attract a Senior Corporate Actions incumbent to build out a dedicated Corporate Actions function for the EMEA region.

Macro fund with multi billion AUM and upper quartile performance against industry peers and market benchmarks.

Duties include but not limited to:

• Front to back event management of all Corporate Actions for EMEA region.
• Voluntary and mandatory event management acting as a first port of call for trading on all queries.
• Dealing with trading queries across a multitude of pods/strategies.
• Coverage of diverse asset classes.
• Daily advisory to PM’s to provide detailed knowledge on complex events, market specifics and mitigating risk for the PM’s.
• Wider engagement with execution desks, risk and technology to arbitrage events.
• Manage full cycle from event set up, to elections and payments acting as advisory point across entire cycle.
• Consultancy on files not actioned correctly and implementing risk controls.
• Sign off on external high value fees and payments, internal cash & stock movements and client expenses.
• Forward planning on events and horizon scanning.
• Large project element to increase efficiencies, mitigate corporate action risk and automation.

Experience required:

• Seasoned Corporate Actions.
• Coverage of all events from set up to close.
• Extensive front office advisory on complex events.
• Technology and automation to mitigate impact of events.
