CNC Turner

My client in the Knaresborough area of North Yorkshire is looking for an experienced CNC Turner.

Duties of the Role:

1. Set and run CNC lathes with Fanuc and Heidenhain controls
2. Undertake tool changes, offsets, and program editing
3. Produce components to production deadlines
4. Work to tight tolerances and strict quality standards (AS9001 & ISO 13485)
5. Working a rotational shift of earlies and lates as follows:

Experience Required:

1. Ideally be apprentice trained and hold a relevant qualification
2. Have confident CNC lathe setting and operating experience
3. Have experience of producing prototypes and first-offs to drawings
4. Ideally have worked with a variety of materials including polymers and metal
5. Have experience with modern quality control standards and measurement of parts
6. Have experience of working to tight tolerances
7. Have the ability to select, set, and change machine tools
8. Any experience of 5 Axis or mill turn machines would be of great interest
9. Have working knowledge of Fanuc or Heidenhain would be advantageous
10. Programming experience is preferred but not essential.

Working Hours:

6am - 2pm Mon - Thurs, 12.30pm finish on Fridays
2pm to 12.30am Mon- Wed, 2pm - 10.30pm Thurs (Friday Off)
