Data Center Infrastructure Engineer, Data Center Operations

We are seeking talents who can take ownership, are eager to learn, and are self-motivated to join our team to support AWS data centers managing all of the servers, storage, and network that ensure uninterrupted services for our customers. The successful candidate shall follow Amazon Data Center processes and maintain high operational standards in supporting server and network hardware and software. They need to adapt to a fast and constantly changing environment and require shift work including weekends and holidays after completion of training.

Key job responsibilities:

  1. Learn and develop a career in the data center industry.
  2. Learn and develop on operation and support processes with innovation and automation.
  3. Incident first responder and follow call leader’s instruction for hands-on support.
  4. Break-fix and troubleshooting according to process guidelines.
  5. Maintain proper media operations according to process guidelines.
  6. Capacity landing and decommissioning according to process guidelines.
  7. Site management and maintain tidiness in operation areas.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Show interest in learning computing hardware and operating systems.
  • Good written and verbal communication in English.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Degree / High Diploma or equivalent qualifications.
  • Fresh Graduate or up to 1 year of experience in server / network hardware and operating systems maintenance / troubleshooting. Fresh graduates are welcome.
  • Basic understanding of incident response and prioritization.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Majoring in Information Technology / Computer Science / Engineering or related disciplines is a plus but not required.
  • Knowledge in Computer Server Hardware.
  • Knowledge in Linux Operating System.
  • Knowledge of any operations, processes, and continuous process improvement.
  • Literacy in security and customer data protection.
