This role is an exciting combination of two roles within Thera Trust's Learning and Development Team and Thera (Scotland’s) Senior Leadership Team. We are recruiting for an Executive Assistant to Thera (Scotland’s) Service Quality Director and a Learning and Development Specialist.
Alongside this is a unique opportunity for you to work at senior level to ensure that the Service Quality Director is an effective member of Thera (Scotland) Board – making their own decisions about how the company is run, using their experience of having a learning disability.
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality vocational training to Thera Staff in an exciting and impactful way. You will coordinate and deliver induction training and specialist courses, as well as maintaining and completing training records.
In order to be successful, you will need to be an exceptionally strong communicator. You must be motivated, flexible, and organised, with the ability to work on your own initiative to meet tight deadlines. This combined role will involve some travel across Scotland with occasional wider national travel and some overnight stays when required and comes with a combined salary of £33,552.97 - £37,281.08 DOE.
As the Executive Assistant to Thera (Scotland’s) Service Quality Director, you will work 24 hours per week over 3 days. The Director uses their experience of having a learning disability to ensure quality self-directed support and involvement in the direction and management of their company. Your role will be to support and enable the Service Quality Director to be an effective member of Thera (Scotland’s) Board. This position will be partly home-based with travel across The Highlands, Lanarkshire, Falkirk, and the Lothians with the Service Quality Director to visit people supported and attend meetings.
As the Learning and Development Specialist, you will work 16 hours per week over 2 days. You will be delivering learning opportunities using a blend of learning methods including face-to-face and virtual to Staff in Thera (Scotland). You will coordinate and deliver induction training as well as subject-specific courses as required while maintaining and completing training records. This is a varied role which is home-based with travel as required, so you will need to be self-motivated and organised as this role will keep you busy!
For this combined role, you will have extensive experience within the health and social care sector working with people with learning disabilities.
