Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a customer focused Food Service Manager 2 for Colorado Mesa University, located in beautiful and vibrant Grand Junction, Colorado. This Food Service Manager (Student Dining Manager) will ensure customer satisfaction and provide outstanding service for our long-term Client within our modern, safe and inviting environment. A key element is setting a positive, FUN dining atmosphere - enjoy being with students and Staff. Lots of daily interaction with students in the dining hall.

Prior experience with high volume dining – campus or hospital experience preferred.

What You'll Do
  • Manage the day-to-day operation of the Student Dining Hall on campus, serving up to 2400 students on Meal Plans.
  • Ensure dining stations are full, presentation, temps, safety are maintained.
  • Manage supervisors and up to 60 employees - training, scheduling, payroll, safety.
  • Ensure a welcoming environment for students - creating a FUN environment and excellent customer service.
  • Create a positive working and dining environment; and ensure Sodexo standards are maintained.

What You Bring
  • 2 – 4 years High volume Campus Dining experience from a large university, or other high volume dining setting.
  • Strong employee engagement leadership skills and a passion for customer service.
  • Experience with hiring, training, developing a large food service staff.
  • Manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for ahigh level of customer service.
