French Teacher

Are you passionate about the French language and culture? Do you have the skills to inspire and teach students the beauty of speaking French? We’re looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated, and creative French teacher to join the team at a secondary school based in Colchester.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Teach French language and literature to secondary school students.
2. Develop creative and dynamic lesson plans that encourage active participation.
3. Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to enhance student learning.
4. Encourage cultural exploration and discussions around French-speaking countries.
5. Assess student progress, provide feedback, and adapt teaching strategies as needed.
6. Inspire students to reach their full potential.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialisation in French.
2. Previous experience working within education.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
4. Ability to adapt teaching methods and resources to meet the diverse needs of students.
5. GCSE's or equivalent at grade C (Pass) or above.
6. A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students' academic and emotional development.
7. Passion for the French language/culture and teaching.
8. Strong communication and organisational skills.
9. Fluency in French and excellent communication skills.
