An established corporate intermediary firm is seeking a dynamic Acquisitions Specialist to join their freelance team. This role offers the flexibility to work full-time or part-time, making it ideal for those looking to build a diverse portfolio of income streams. The successful candidate will engage directly with entrepreneurial owners and boards, leveraging their financial analysis and interpersonal skills to create and recognize valuable deals. If you have a passion for corporate strategy and a background in M&A, this opportunity allows you to thrive in a flexible, remote working environment while making a significant impact in the SME sector.
Type: Freelance
Location: Anywhere in England (Predominantly remote)
Flexibility: Full or part-time as part of the individual's freelance portfolio.
A passionate and dynamic Acquisitions Specialist is required on a freelance basis by a long-established Corporate Intermediary Firm. The role requires someone with direct experience of dealing with the boards of public and private companies and an interest in corporate strategy and the SME marketplace. Previous M&A / corporate development / deal origination experience is a possible advantage but is not a prerequisite.
This hybrid role is suitable for a self-motivated, well-rounded, experienced, meticulous, and mobile person with their own base anywhere in England. You will ideally be qualified to ACA / ACCA / MBA or equivalent level, although candidates with other qualifications will be considered.
The role is very flexible and can be full-time or part-time as part of the individual's portfolio of passive and non-passive income streams. Examples of the individual’s other portfolio income streams may include passive investment income, income from non-executive roles, fractional FD roles, consultancy work, online trading, or SME equity holdings. Alternatively, you may be new to portfolio work and have an entrepreneurial approach to business and building your new freelance portfolio.
The successful candidate will be a seasoned professional who can deal directly and effectively with the entrepreneurial owners of SMEs, as well as the boards of publicly quoted companies. Applications are particularly invited from previous Board members of private/public companies. You will need to possess the necessary gravitas to engage with entrepreneurial owners in the deal creation phase.
You must have excellent financial/operational analysis, database research, and interpersonal skills. A passion for recognizing and creating deals is essential.
When applying, please send your full CV together with a letter explaining why you consider yourself suitable for this opportunity.
