Pre-Construction Manager – Exciting Opportunity in office fit-out

We are currently working with one of our clients to fill a Pre-Construction Manager role. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team, where you’ll play a key part in shaping and delivering projects from the very start.

Our client is open to hiring the right candidate on either a full-time or freelance basis, depending on what suits the individual best. There will also be occasional site visits, for which a mileage allowance will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate effectively with clients, gaining an understanding of their unique requirements and developing tailored solutions that align with their vision.
  2. Coordinate with the design, sales, and sub-contract teams to ensure that both design and cost considerations are aligned.
  3. Review contractors' tender submissions to identify the best fit for each project.
  4. Interpret MEP drawings and understand relevant terminology.
  5. Present to prospective clients, including preparing and presenting pre-contract cost documents.

Post-Appointment Responsibilities:

  1. Produce and manage Requests for Information (RFIs) during the pre-construction phase.
  2. Oversee the LTA process, ensuring all necessary information is collected and ready for submission.
  3. Work closely with the design team and supply chain to ensure all detailed drawings, technical submissions, and calculations are in place ahead of contract signing.

Health, Safety, and Compliance:

  1. Ensure adherence to the highest standards of Health & Safety during the pre-construction phase, including compliance with all CDM regulations.
  2. Ensure compliance with Building Regulations, Planning Regulations, and Building Control Legislation.

Experience & Skills:

1-2 years of design and build experience is preferred.
