Job Title: SEN Teacher
Location: Hackney, London

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to join a vibrant and supportive school in Hackney. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher to make a real difference in the lives of students with special educational needs (SEN). The successful candidate will work closely with a team of professionals to provide tailored support to students and help them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons for students with SEN.
  2. Provide individualised support for students with a range of learning difficulties and additional needs.
  3. Collaborate with teaching assistants and other staff members to ensure students' needs are met.
  4. Maintain clear communication with parents, carers, and other professionals involved in the students' education.
  5. Implement strategies to promote inclusion, participation, and engagement in the classroom.
  6. Monitor and evaluate student progress, adjusting teaching approaches as needed.

Key Requirements:
  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  2. Experience working with students with SEN (experience in SEMH, ASD, or other specific needs is desirable).
  3. Strong understanding of the SEN Code of Practice.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  6. A compassionate and patient approach to teaching.
