Commercial Management and Quantity Surveying – Transport & Infrastructure

This is a great opportunity to join CPC’s Commercial Services Business Unit within the Transport and Infrastructure Division. Due to our continued growth and expansive pipeline of works, we are recruiting across all commercial grades within our Business Unit. As a commercial function operating within the Transport and Infrastructure sectors, we pride ourselves in bringing collaboration to the core of the projects we deliver. Supporting over 30 major transport and infrastructure projects with a capital spend in excess of £15 billion, this is an exciting time to join our commercial services team to develop and expand your careers as commercial professionals in a fast-paced project delivery environment. We are recruiting for the following roles across the breadth of the UK:

  • Assistant Quantity Surveyors
  • Quantity Surveyors
  • Senior Quantity Surveyors
  • Commercial Managers
  • Cost Managers
  • Procurement Managers
  • Various commercial leadership roles

Desirable relevant skills and experience depending on the role:

  • Experience of working in Quantity Surveying / Commercial or Procurement Management teams
  • Experience of working pre and/or post-contract in a project delivery environment
  • Strong cost management skills including monthly reporting, cash flow control as well as forecasting
  • Knowledge of Public Sector tendering and procurement process, and/or procurement experience (applicable for procurement roles)
  • Strong and effective stakeholder management skills
  • Experience of implementing and maintaining effective contract administration processes and reporting systems aligned to project requirements
  • Have a collaborative approach to both work and contract administration, able to work effectively on your own initiative and be a strong team player
  • Ability to operate effectively within embedded delivery teams to drive the optimum commercial outputs in fast-paced project delivery environments

Ideally you will also have:

  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Collaborative approach to cost and commercial management
  • Team player
  • Contract, cost or procurement management experience
  • Experience working on complex, high-profile projects
  • Understanding of project delivery environments
  • Degree qualification (or equivalent) or working towards
  • Hold or studying towards a professional qualification
