Job Overview:
Clearfield Recruitment is seeking a proactive and responsible Highways Operative for a project in Brightlingsea, Essex, starting on Monday, 28th October 2024. This role requires a self-motivated individual who can manage vehicle movements, control access, and maintain a safe and tidy worksite.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Vehicle and Traffic Management: Control vehicle movements on-site, open gates as required for access, and marshal traffic to ensure smooth operations.
2. Access and Resident Coordination: Allow residents access to the site when necessary while maintaining safety.
3. Fencing and Signage Maintenance: Ensure all fencing is clean, tidy, and properly in place. Regularly check that all signage is correctly positioned and visible.
4. Site Cleanliness: Keep the site area clean and organized, especially during quieter periods.
5. Team Support: Assist the site team with general tasks when needed, contributing to the overall success of the project.

Requirements:

1. Previous experience in a highways or site operative role.
2. Strong ability to manage vehicle movements and take responsibility for site access and safety.
3. A valid CSCS card is essential.
4. Full PPE and availability to start on Monday, 28th October 2024.
5. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
6. A self-starter who can work independently and take initiative.
