Planning Development Officer
Full Time – 37 hours per week, Permanent
Band 7-11 (Career Graded) £28,163 - £44,711 (Experienced Planning Officer Band 10-11)
This key position has become available in our busy Development Management team ideal for an enthusiastic professional wishing to work in a new and exciting way whilst promoting change for the Borough Council.
We have big ambitions and need a motivated and innovative individual with existing planning experience to become part of our team, leading on a different approach to Development Management and allowing you to think creatively outside the box.
The post holder will form part of an existing highly motivated and energetic Development Management Team, dealing with a varied caseload of planning applications with a focus on majors and large or complex minor applications; experience of these types of applications is essential to this role.
Whilst the role is career graded, we are particularly keen to hear from applicants who already have an RTPI recognised qualification, but we are more interested in your experience.
We are looking for a candidate who has experience of submitting and/or determining larger complex planning applications, who has previously worked with consultees and agents/applicants, and has excellent people skills.
We are seeking both experienced and motivated planning professionals with a wide range of well-developed planning skills and knowledge, with a track record in delivery in either private or public sector roles.
