AMCA Structures Ltd are recruiting for a talented and ambitious CAD Technician, as a crucial part of this design team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Produce precise drawings: Craft high-quality, detailed technical drawings and plans based on designs provided by architects and designers, with the ability to make necessary modifications to existing drawings.
  2. CAD Skills: Utilise a variety of CAD software programs, showcasing your proficiency in these essential tools.
  3. Collaborative Expertise: Collaborate closely with architects and designers, comprehending their design requirements and offering valuable technical advice to our manufacturing and construction technicians.
  4. Accuracy and Compliance: Produce precise, to-scale drawings that adhere to industry standards and prioritise health and safety protocols.
  5. Project Support: Present working drawings for use across all project phases, from tender to manufacture/construction and installation. Generate essential installation and manufacturing documentation to ensure seamless execution.
  6. Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous records, ensuring that every detail is documented accurately for future reference.

Experience/Skills Required:

  1. Deadline-Driven: The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks with precision and efficiency.
  2. Problem-Solving: A knack for understanding, solving, and presenting solutions to engineering and CAD-related challenges.
  3. Software expertise: Proficiency in computer-aided design software such as Tekla, AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
  4. Technical aptitude: Knowledge of engineering principles and the ability to create and interpret technical drawings.
  5. Attention to detail: A sharp eye for detail, ensuring the accuracy and quality of your work and that of your colleagues.
  6. Communication skills: Effective communication and relationship-building skills to collaborate with clients, engineers, and architects to interpret their designs.
  7. Team Player: Strong teamwork skills, as you'll collaborate with other CAD technicians and draughtspersons on various projects.
  8. Organisational skills: Excellent organisational and time management skills to meet project deadlines.
  9. Flexibility: An adaptable approach to decision-making, ready to make changes to drawings at short notice.
