We are seeking a Business Development Manager to lead this strategic effort. This is a high-impact, senior-level role that involves working with key corporate customers, driving technical evaluations, and making critical financial decisions to expand Solenis’ market share and reinforce our brand.

Primary Responsibilities:

As a Business Development Manager, you will:

  • Expand Strategic Market Presence: Identify and secure new customers and opportunities within the assigned region or customer base. Drive market penetration and revenue growth, focusing on competitive markets and high-value opportunities.

  • Lead Sales Strategy: Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with Solenis’ corporate growth objectives with a clear focus on water recycle, energy consumption optimization, and clear sustainability impact. Spearhead the introduction of innovative products as part of a broader customer acquisition strategy.

  • Engage at the Executive Level: Provide recommendations to Executive leadership on strategy needed to achieve short, mid, and long-term growth initiatives.

  • Conduct High-Level Technical Evaluations: Collaborate with internal teams and customers to lead technical reviews and ensure alignment with customer needs and standards. Provide training, coaching, and support to Solenis sales and technical representatives who will be working to position and sell equipment solutions (reuse/recycle, and likely pretreatment) to Solenis customers.

  • Oversee Financial Decisions: Analyze potential investments and returns, prioritize market segment activities, and make recommendations to optimize resources and achieve revenue targets.

  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with account managers, marketing teams, and technical experts to understand market needs and provide actionable insights.

Requirements:

  • Ideal Experience and Education: Bachelor’s Degree in technical, engineering, or business-related field. MBA a plus. 10+ years of professional work experience in Equipment Systems (MF, UF, NF, RO, Ion Exchange, MBR, etc.) ideally including prior experience in Strategic Marketing, Business Development, and/or Technical/Applications.

  • Language Skills: Proficiency in English is mandatory; additional languages are a plus.

  • Travel: Willingness to travel up to 50%-70% of the time (Europe), including domestic and international trips, to engage with customers and teams.

  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of technical and operational challenges in the F&B/HPI/CPI industries. Proven ability to lead technical evaluations and discussions.

  • Strategic Thinking: Exceptional skills in market analysis, financial decision-making, and resource allocation to maximize opportunities.

  • Leadership: Ability to inspire and influence internal teams and external stakeholders to drive results.
